Two weeks later, the father came to spend the week-end.
After the greetings were over, the boy who is now six years of age asked his father to go for a walk with him.
As they walk the father asks, "Son, how do you like your new home?"
"I think it is beautiful here. You should see the sunsets! They are wonderful; and the moon seems so big and shows such a nice light. Do you not notice the trees are different to the ones back home? My teacher counted sixteen shades of green for me yesterday. And, Daddy, you should see the clouds! They are away down there, sometimes. Why they do not stay there all the time, I do not know. I asked my teacher; but she said some day I can answer that question myself. She says I have to be a great man some day to please my mother and daddy. You should see those clouds come rolling up the side of the mountain and when they reach the top it makes everything wet. I have to go in when it comes to the top, mother says I might take a cold. You should see the insects, yes, and everything."
The father thinks - what a conversation for a child of six.
They return to the house.
The boy says, "Father, come in and see my room."
As they enter the room, the father asks him what the different pictures represent; and he tells him the name and meaning of each picture.
The father smiles and says to himself, "Yes, she knows more than I do. This is surely a new way to bring up a child; but I think it is going to be all right.
